This is my 7th year participating in SF Open Studios and my 3rd year on the SF Open Studios Committee. Every year I make more friends, meet more wonderful art lovers and find new artists to follow. I would love to see you at any of these events and especially hope you’ll come by Hunt and Gather on October 11, 12 and 13 during Weekend 4.

I’m proud to be co-curating the Fall Show, IMAGINE at Hunt and Gather Gallery with the amazing DeeDee Hunt. We’re showcasing work that invites viewers to explore the complexities of the American Dream. What does justice for all mean, and what does it look like? The arts community embodies hope no matter the outcome of the upcoming presidential election. 

LET iT RiP – installation

Tearing fabric allows us to  grieve and construct at the same time. Visitors are invited to tear fabric into strips for future use. In 2016, I started tearing fabric to grieve our divided country. Those torn strips became stripes and soon I was building an American flag with new colors, patterns and textures. I named the series BEYOND RED WHiTE AND BLUE.
