Hello from “across the pond” in Cambridge, UK.

I’ve joined my dear husband, Scot, on his well-earned sabbatical. It’s been scheduled since 2018 but was postponed due to the COVID pandemic. The City of Cambridge timeline stretches all the way back to 875 AD, so there is plenty of color and pattern across periods and places to find here.

Our cozy cottage overlooks a magnificent central sculpture in the garden, Tree of Life: Encounter, by Helaine Blumenfeld OBE. This powerful public art evokes grace and mystery and symbolizes the struggle for unity and against intolerance between Christian, Muslim, and Jewish people. May it be so.

This 10-week adventure feels like a midlife reboot. I’m narrowing my intentions while widening my horizons. My word for the year is STRETCH. My mind. My body. My goals and my art practice. I’m so grateful for my growing community of collectors and friends.

It’s early days, but big plans are in motion for when I return. Stay tuned for updates on ArtSpan’s 50th Anniversary Season of SF Open Studios and the Fall Show I’m curating at Hunt and Gather with DeeDee Hunt.
